Description
The Vancouver Symphony will celebrate the 22nd Annual Symphony Lovers’ Ball on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West. The ballroom will be transformed to reflect the elegance expected at this magical evening.
Over 400 of Vancouver’s corporate and philanthropic community leaders will enjoy an evening of fine entertainment, wine and cuisine and dance the night away to the music performed by Vancouver Symphony Orchestra – a truly remarkable experience! No other event in Vancouver offers the opportunity to enjoy such a thrilling night, while providing invaluable support for this cultural jewel.
Since its inception, the Symphony Lovers’ Ball has raised in excess of $5.5 million net in support of the VSO. These funds have helped to attract and retain some of North America’s finest musicians, raising the level of musical excellence and gaining worldwide recognition for the Orchestra. The funds have also afforded the opportunity to bring legendary international performers to Vancouver, such as Lang Lang, Yo-Yo Ma, Renee Fleming and Itzak Perlman, to name just a few.
